Your author is a retired Technology teacher residing in his home town of Mahomet, Illinois. It has been precisely because of this small town
that I have pursued writing. My family roots reach back to 1848 in the early days of this village.

Researching these family roots uncovered the many stories and histories of the people and places in Mahomet. Though writing was never a
skill that I previously pursued, an opportunity to put to pen the story of my father's war-time experiences presented itself. I jumped at the
chance to honor my father and his service in my first publication "Greyhound Blue."

I followed up this work by writing a weekly column for our local newspaper, the Mahomet Citizen, entitled "Diggin' up Bones." I have
publshed these historic columns along with images and documents from the early days of this small Illinois village. Volumes I and II
of these collections are now in print and available on this website.

A few more works are in the pipeline, and I hope that you will continue stay in touch to get the "latest" efforts.
